kindra.Kindra Predmore is a rare gem in the evolving world of media and design.  She delivers the total package with mastery. Seamlessly flowing from Production Designer for commercials to Prop & Wardrobe Stylist for fashion to Advertiser for all venues, Kindra embraces the creativity and connectivity within these roles for the full benefit of her clients.

One day, she may be hiking up a mountain with extensive gear to execute a catalog shoot; the next, she could be designing the props and set to convey a hot pursuit chase through a small street in Italy; and the following day, she may be styling a crystal-inspired video backdrop for a TV awards show.

How does Kindra handle these roles so deftly?  Light-heartedly, she offers, “Sometimes I get just 4 hours of sleep, but thankfully, I’m not burning both ends of the candle.” With over 20 years in her back pocket, her work speaks volumes:

  • One doesn’t have to look twice at her diverse portfolio and list of awards to know she has hard-earned, real experience.  She’s invested the time to make sense of the complex layers and define processes to serve her clients well.

  • Understanding and executing the client’s message is key to all her work. Kindra listens closely to her clients and focuses on the details that precisely capture their message.
  • Open to learning, she prides herself on having the versatility to create, design and communicate through any format.
  • Her extensive resources and dependable contacts in locations throughout the US, such as LA and NYC, enable her to be nimble and readily responsive to her client’s needs.
  • A designer from the beginning, her solid foundation in the field enables her to offer a unique perspective. “Approaching a hem length and a molding width is quite similar, they are just two different 3-D forms.”

Kindra’s path from design student to designer to stylist to production designer reveals wondrous dedication, depth and drive. “I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do since high school; actually, after staging fashion shows back then, I’m doing in one form or another what I’ve always done since high school.”

She earned her Bachelor of Professional Study Degree in fashion from Marist College, working closely with Isaac Mizrahi and Bob Mackie at the time.  Then she worked for Carolyn Roehm, designing for her haute-couture line.  A successful freelancer for numerous years now, Kindra feels humbled and privileged to work with so many talented artisans and be part of so many inspiring projects.
